What’s your definition of style?
My definition of style is how one dresses to feel comfortable in their own body. For me, what makes me feel like me, and gives me my confidence are clothes that combines silhouettes, dark colors, and comfort above most. I’m a sucker for high waisted black pants and a crop top!
What does fashion mean to you?
Fashion to me is what one might draw on for inspiration to include in their own wardrobe. Since fashion changes with the season/year it’s fun to see trends come back around every 5-10 years or so. And even if some things go out of fashion, if it was one of your favorite pieces, hang on to it! Cause those bell bottoms are coming back in baby!!
Who is your favorite designer and why do you love them?
Oh Boy do I dread “favorite” questions! It’s so hard to narrow down to just one! Let’s see…. Ok ok ok, I really like Guess, always have! I like them because they have sassy pieces, and boho, but still a classic brand. Love their purses and shoes too!
When selecting new pieces for your wardrobe what factors do you consider? ( ie Comfort? Fabric? Color? Trend?)
Day to Day: Truly, it’s all about comfort these days. So of course fabric and cuts go into that. Full disclosure, I have way too much grey and black in my closet! Trend wise? I don’t think I’m particularly trendy. I’ve gotten to the point where I know how I feel when I wear certain pieces, so I tend to gravitate toward similar styles. However; walking down the red carpet, I like color! Kelly Green, Hot Red, a fantastic Royal Blue or Plum Purple. Heck, Yes!!
If you were stuck on a deserted island what one item could you not live without?
Sunscreen! Well, If you mean fashion wise, 😉 … I’m pretty practical, so a really nice long flowing kimono will be perfect.
